Keep your eyes on the skies…something extraordinary is coming to the Central Coast, NSW!

We’re thrilled to announce the inaugural Central Coast Airshow, kicking off on the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd of May, 2021! The skies over the Central Coast Airport at Warnervale will roar into life with the unforgettable sights and sounds of an action-packed airshow!

Just an hour’s drive from Sydney or Newcastle, this event will be a great weekend out amongst the beautiful Central Coast region, with literally tonnes of entertainment on offer including:

• An incredible display by a RAAF F-35A Lightning II fighter jet. This is set to be the debut of a brand-new performance from the aircraft and its new dedicated RAAF display pilot.

• An amazing appearance from The Air Force Roulettes! Their seven-plane aerobatic formation display will have you holding your breath as they show off just what RAAF pilots are capable of.

• Rare and unique warbirds turning back the clock with exciting displays you may not see again!

• Unbelievable aerobatics from some of Australia’s top champion pilots. From spinetingling solo performances to hair-raising formations, we’ve got it all!

• Jaw-dropping and eye-popping stunts, from drift shows to freestyle motocross, and maybe even the odd motorbike backflipping over an airborne plane. You know, the usual stuff.

• A vibrant ground festival packed with delicious street food, local markets, amusement rides for the kids, RAAF displays and plenty of entertainment for all.

There’s even live music on the Saturday afternoon!

Whether you are a die-hard aviation enthusiast or just looking for a fun weekend out with the family and kids, there will be something for everyone at the Central Coast Airshow.

The airborne entertainment is set to be a must-see spectacle with a huge line-up of aircraft in attendance and ready to entertain.

Leading the charge will be an incredible display by a RAAF F-35A Lightning II. Get ready, the sights and sounds of this cutting-edge fighter jet tearing through the skies. It will leave you stunned! This is set to be the debut of a brand-new performance from the aircraft and its first with its own dedicated RAAF display pilot.

The support from Defence Australia and the RAAF continues with an amazing appearance from The Air Force Roulettes! Arriving in style in their state-of-the-art Pilatus PC-21 trainers, this seven-plane aerobatic formation display will have you holding your breath as the Roulettes show off just what our fighter pilots are capable of.

The insane aerobatic displays continue with performances from champion pilot Paul Bennet in his Wolf Pitts Pro, and one of Australia’s favourite aerobatic formation groups, The SkyAces!

It’s not just new stuff though, a whole roster of rare and unique warbirds will be turning back the clock with their own thrilling displays. Relive history with classic warbirds including the famous Spitfire, Mustang, Kittyhawk, Grumman Avenger and even homegrown heroes including the CAC Wirraway and CAC Boomerang, among many others.

On the ground, the adrenaline-pumping action continues with some very special guests.

Extreme motorsport legend Matt Mingay and the Stuntz Inc Hot Wheels Stunt Team will be live at the show, offering up some jaw-dropping eye-popping thrills! You never quite know what these daredevils are plotting, but you can be sure it’ll leave you speechless.

After some Hot Wheels action, Matt will take on Paul Bennet (Aerobatic Champion) headto-head in a unique, high intensity drag race. It’s race car versus stunt plane. Who will win?

And if that still isn’t enough action, we’ve got freestyle motocross star Jacko Strong and his crew coming along, and we’ve got one more trick up our sleeves…a death-defying, heart stopping act that will leave you stunned.

What is it? Well…What do you get when you combine a high-performance aerobatic plane, a freestyle motocross daredevil, and a big ol ’ramp? One absolutely bad-ass stunt. We’ll leave the rest to your imagination, for now.

When you’re ready to refuel or just wind down a little from the action, you’ll discover a vibrant ground festival across the airport, packed with delicious street food, local markets, amusement rides for the kids, RAAF displays and plenty of entertainment for all.

All in all, this starts to paint a picture of just how epic this event will be. It’s been over 30 years since an airshow has taken place at the Central Coast Airport at Warnervale, and a long time since the region has had a major event to call its own. The airshow is expected to draw large crowds to the region, provide a significant boost to the local economy and inspire the next generation of Australian aviators.

Tickets for this event are on sale now and available online at centralcoastairshow.com.au or at the gate.

NSW Dine & Discover Vouchers can also be accepted at the gate towards a ticket purchase.
